CARF Infrastructure HVAC
A CAD software family for the comprehensive BIM media planning in buildings including the underground pipelines.
If you only have 2D architectural plans available, you can use the construction module to quickly and easily draw your buildings with a few clicks, place doors, windows, beams, openings and many other components in order to be able to reproduce the existing building as accurately as possible at a later stage in the planning. Point clouds can be referenced and re-modelled directly in MicroStation. MicroStation’s reference technology enables you to exchange plans easily, thus many planners can work on a project in different areas at the same time and can access the same data simultaneously. Using the cutting function of CARF and MicroStation, you can create 2D plot plans very easily and plot them for documentation purposes if required or send the entire model to the customer as a 3D pdf.
Additionally, you can create a bill of quantities for all plans, place legends in plans automatically and label all components either automatically or manually if required, which makes documentation easier.
CARF Infrastructure offers you unlimited planning possibilities on the most powerful CAD platform MicroStation and, via integrated interfaces to IFC, to Solar Computer and IDAT for the calculations or together with Isogen, everything you need for a ClosedBIM or OpenBIM.
Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a constantly growing demand to provide information to all project participants from concept, construction, operation to demolition. This means that CAD software has to meet the requirements of the user and the projects and has to be further developed.
With CARF Qualitool you can verify your plans before submission, if there open pipes that are not connected, if the env (CAD guidelines) of the client complied with and much more.
For the construction coordination, the plans can then be reviewed against the project with Revizto and assigned to the respective teams so that changes to doors, fire dampers, etc. need to be documented only once and can be made available again to all project participants at any stage and at the point in time when they are affected.
3D becomes 4D, and by linking schedules, costs and resources, all plans can be enriched with additional important information and project management performance can be increased.
MicroStation can export a drawing to DWG, so that not only the geometry but also the component information must be exported to append the technical data. Now the technical data are attached to the parts and are visible for the AutoCAD user.
